I did some cleaning this weekend and when I started opening rod tubes, I realized the rod I was thinking of was a 12-weight GL3, not GLX (I obviously have way too many rods). The GL3 is in nearly pristine condition, the 12-weight GLX is a little beat up (it was a Jose Wejebe rod at one time).

Remember that a GLX was the rod that caught the world record a year or so ago, but have to go to the catalogs to find out if the GL3 is faster or slower? Need a tarpon rod or a backup & 2 piece has less ferrules....research time! :cool:
