when do the bunker and shad start to appear in the twin river area as well as deal lake. i want to get in to those monster bass that are lunchin on them.

The first big bait to arrive will be herring.sometime in the next few weeks as the water temps start to go up .As the water tempature gets closer to 50, the herring will start to show up.Traditionally the herring stay away from deal lake because it has heavy silt levels,the flume in spring lake is a better opportunity.Also try further south, shark river or the manasquan area.Peanut bunker tend show later in the season.
