May I ask what is your age?
Reason I ask is because I am sure you are going to get slammed here pretty quick for reporting that you don't use a liscence. Best to clear that up ahead of time for this thread to avoid needed moderation.

1- if you old enough to be driving around chasing the stocking trout you should have a license.
2- if you fishing for trout without a license then your poaching.
3- if you following the stocking truck what's the challenge? Might as well brag about going to the fish store and getting a "keeper"
4- Enviromental Police Officers check this site.....
5- The administrators of this site will cooperate fully.

only 6 keepers, that isn't too impressive, pretty pathetic. You should have been able to get a lot more if your story was true......

Something is up here. Sounds like the post was just meant to stir things up.
Oh well, I am off to steal the stocking truck. After this winter, I need a legendary day. (#$119)

WOW...what a system! However, I am a step ahead of him. Here is what I do:
I have found that there are certain stores that sell groceries. What I do is to stake out this area of the store that has glass display cases and lots of ice. There are usually fish hanging out in this area. I get to pick out all different types of fish depending upon my appetite. And, get this...there is NO LIMIT!!!
Sometimes, you can even get lobsters with no permits or traps necessary!
Seriously, shouldn't the stocking trucks have those rear-mounted oil slick dispensers like 007 had to deter these people from following them?

Don't know how the trout fishing is, but obviously the trollings going quite well for this guy.
You're warned. You're in violation of forum regulations, but since you're new you'll get a little slack this once. Go to the FAQ at the top of the page and read the posting guidelines.

Actual funny story relating to this topic.
I couldn't take the waiting, so I wetted a line yesterday. I tried the marshes at Old Silver. In the interest of hitting the most favorable spot, I parked at a popular spot for largemouths, and trekked through the woods. I wanted to see if there were any schoolies wintering over, or perhaps a SRB or something. Really it was more just to get out. In any event on the way back to the car I was stopped and asked about a license. I explained that I was fishing the marshes, which were clearly saltwater. This guy didn't believe me.
As an aside here....this guy was implying that he had the authority to question me. I have no problem with enforcement, but I also know what the officials look like/wear for gear/drive for work (Dk Green F-150s or chevys) ...at least around here. Unless this was his day off, it probably wasn't official....but I digress.
I offered to show him the tracks in the snow back to the marshes. He explained that there was no need for that, but that I still needed a license.
So I finally pulled out licenses from the last 5 years that are in my pack. My thought was that he would see that I have a license every year, and that I was not skipping out. I even went so far as to explain that even if I didn't believe in getting a license, I would just so I didn't get my gear taken. He finally "let me go" with an admonishment to "get a license". Gimme a break, folks like that give the "real deal" a bad name. In any event - no fish.
On the other hand, it is nice to see that people do care. I just wish they cared as much to find the real folks causing issues, and report them to the PROPER authorities.

Useless trolling with no real information. As Bob stated above, this site neither condones nor tolerates poaching of any kind. This thread is done.
