Gentlemen ( --123-3 I use the term loosely), My winter blues :-% acheived a new level this year! I have several old :brow (and beloved) rods with cork handles that I wish to: 1. preserve if possible, 2. fill in numerous chips (1/4 inch and shallow) which are missing.
Any help, suggestions or wisdom of any kind would be greatly appreciated :) .

I have heard that some people grind up cork and mix it with glue to fill in those gouges. Another option is just to cut out the offending rings, buy new rings and cut in half. Fit to blank then glue and sand. Rear grips are easily replaced from the butt without much damage to the rod. Foregrips are a different story. You can buy a cork sealant to preserve the new rings.
