Peter's Pond

Dropped the canoe into Peter's this morning. Worked around the ice with small metals and shiners.

All to no avail. Quite a few people coming to try their luck as it is the only open trout pond water. The beginning of the drive to the ramp has rutted snow and is a bit slippery, This might be was has kept the stocking trout away.

Bob, not sure what you meant by open trout water? I fished scarzgo in dennis and big and little cliff this past wednesday. Not too much action at scarzgo and little cliff but did well on small rainbows at big cliff. I threw the canoe in at all three and despite a 20% ice cover at scarzgo they were all open water and recently stocked. By the by, how open is Peter's right now? I am thinking about doing a little fishing in the rain on monday. Just got my first set of frogg toggs.

Cliff has been open and stocked for awhile but it's not local to me so was not considered when I made my post. About half the cove by the state ramp is open. And unless the stocking truck arrives overnite, it is probably not worth the trip.
