Bill Pate Tarpon reel

Hi guys, I just got a Bill Pate tarpon reel, for a tuna fishing trip. Some of you out there have an idea about How many meters of spectra 50 lbs can hold the reel. I know that I need at least 500 mts.

You can fit 300 yards of standard 30# Dacron on it with room for a 12wt fly line.

I think you could safely spool on 4-450 yards of 50# gelspun with plenty of room for a fly line.
