I know everyone likes to use these forums to complain about a company but not this time.

Four years ago my wife bought me a Diamondback 5w rod as I was interested in learning how to fly fish. The rod served me well that first year and on the last day at our summer camp my wife managed to break the rod tip while taking the rod through a closing door. We sent it back to DB and they provided a new tip section no questions asked.

Last summer I managed to snap the rod in half (dumb mistake on my part) so I packaged it up a week ago and sent it off to DB. Yesterday I received a package from DB and to my surprise they replaced the broken rod with a brand new rod...no questions asked.

I am sure there are much better rods on the market but I doubt anyone can beat the customer service Diamondback has provided me. :)

I always liked the diamondback rods, thought they went under a few years back.I have also had good luck with the people at st.croix with replacements.

I've got nothing but good things to say about my Diamondbacks. I have two of the 10 weight Backwaters. Customer service has always been great.

I never really appreciated these rods until I thought it was time to "upgrade" to the higher-dollar rods and found that I wasn't missing much. At least not enough to justify a significant jump in price.

The ferule on my 8wt cracked while on vacation last year in Falmouth(of course it was the first day). I went to the Post Office that afternoon and mailed it out and got it back in 12 days, I thought that was a great turnover for the beginning of August. They also sent a brand new rod instead of just replacing the broken part.
