Ray54 VHF

Has anyone installed one of these radios? I am trying to connect the DSC cables to a Garmin 172c. The Radio wires are labeled "IN +" and "IN -". The gps wires are labeled "Out (TX)" and "In (RX)"?????????? :confused:

This is the only web page that I have found which explains how to properly interconnect all sorts of NMEA equipment. Your Garmin is a "Single-ended" device, while the VHF looks like its a "Differential" device.

Check the "Single-ended -> differential" section.

Basically GPS TX to VHF RX +
GPS GND to VHF RX -

Tsheehy - thanks for the reply. I actually just got off the phone with Garmin, and they told me to do exactly what you said. I appreciate the help.
