Let me know how you make out Mike. Although the idea of any kind of "opening day" kind of scares me... (for similar reasons as some folks who stay in, isolated from the crowds, on New Year's Eve, calling it "amateur night")

If I get out it's going to be early and I figure there is enough shoreline to stay away from the goons! plus I think I'm only going to throw metal so I can cover some ground.
I'll let you know if I get anything good.

What always works for me to help avoid the cabin-fever-stricken April crowds is... see... I'll lean my body towards Wachusett a little, as if I'm headed that way, then I'll suddenly do a double headfake, followed by quick shuffle-foot reverse and hightail it the other way towards the salt as fast as my short little legs will carry me!!

By the time the crowds catch on and begin their pursuit, I'll be done with the April Cod -n- Tog hunt already and can silently creep back up to Wachusett all by my lonesome before anyone's the wiser...
