I was looking for an easy pre-marathon day, so I started this morning stalking the elusive crappie on the fly. Fortunately they didn't elude me! Crappies on the fly are about as good as it gets. The sunnies quickly took over so it was carp time. Fished carp a couple hours with Jacob and it was very slow despite the warmer weather. Ended up with 5 fish with the biggest going 12. I couldn't out do our esteemed moderator Mr Riley who is rumoured to have landed a 13 pounder earlier this week. Still waiting for the pictures to develop! So far fish this year have all been on the small side.
