Did my annual Peters Ponds trip this year. Trolled flies along with the other 20 boats on the lake on Saturday afternoon. Place was dead, a few fish were taken trolling, but basically it was powerbait city as the only efficent means of catching the lazy cold fish. Bass boats buzzing around from cove to cove, it was so annoying...Late, when all the boats left the water, some fish were coming up in the deepest parts of the lake. Unfortunately I didn't have my tube and couldn't sneek up on these fish in the canoe.
Sunday I didn't bother even going out and went to a few reliable secluded ponds and caught some nice rainbows but it was not even close to a banner day. Water is still too cold..
By the way, sorry I don't post the actual pond names of my honey holes, but the fact of the matter is I 'll snap if every pond becomes like Peters. I will post Peters name though as the place is a ZOO and I have no plans to fish it in the future EVER again...
