I have been really fishin hard these last couple of days and dont have alot to show. I can easily go out get lost catching quality size pickeral, but they are just killing my tackel, ive lost a dozen hooks to these slimmy pickles, even with 15pnd test --124-3 I have yet to really get into some good bass fishing. Ive got a couple good ones but the best i got yesterday on a buzzbait. he as around 6.5 pounds.
Thursday i was wading and spotted a large snapper and decided to get a pic for u guys. The thing was huge. It had to have been fifty pounds  i released it and fished alittle longer when i see this softball size head poke out of the water  So i again wade around it like the last one and grab it by the tail and restle it for another pic. this one was alittle bit bigger. I bet they were just filling up on sunnies that started to come up on shallow water. Well thats my last couple of days of fishen and i will show you guys some more pics of 15pnd bass when i get um  --125-3

That was a great 2hour trip, untill you lost that leader. Need to rember more of those. Did you pull that bass out of the same spot we were fishing the other day?

Haden,

Nice bass out of there! I've fished that spot a few times but the muck usually gets on my nerves and I end up fishing someplace with easier access.

Putnamville in Danvers can be good as well.

I saw another monster snapping turtle come up for air at a river in Wareham. Made me glad I was standing on the bank and not in the water.

Nice bass. probably female. The best fishing is often spring. The egg laden females have a pre spawn "pig out" before the spawn. Snapping turtles lay eggs this time of year...Those turtles are tasty...In louisiana anyway...I dont know if they can be eaten around here...

Cool pix!
Word of caution....a snapper can (and will) stick it's neck and head out, fully capable of reaching the back of it's shell. A turtle that size can easily take a finger or two.

they are probably all stressed out at this time of year w/ breeding and egg laying. if not for your own safety, you ought to leave them alone when they are in the water for their wellbeing.
