Has anyone heard anything about the Settle (sp?) family selling their shares in Casa Blanca lodge? I've heard rumors on a recent steelheading trip in Michigan - you know, the regular day's end lodge scuttlebutt - that Bobby Settle is no longer involved with the lodge and that the service and overall experience has suffered as a result.

If so, that would be a great shame. I visited Casa Blanca four times, the last time being in 1998 and have to say it was the best "destination" fly fishing I've ever done. The area is beautiful, the lodge itself is/was fantastic with great rooms and food and the fishing... Well, everyone has heard how fantastic the flats of Asencion Bay can be - got my first and second (only) fly caught permit there.

Anyway, any info would be appreciated as I'm planning another trip for next year and don't want to make a mistake thinking that nothing has changed.
