hello

i am new to this area for fly fishing and live in boston> i have looked into the parker river as the first river i explore in this area> Could any of you who have trout fished the Parker River lend a hand here and describe some of the better areas> I will be wading only> and look to start on this river around mid may> I have read up on trout fishing on the parker and am looking for your folks personal opinions> Thank you for any help you can provide to this newbie>

I've never been, but heard good things! Browns and brookies, I guess. Up in Rowley or Georgetown. I know people who kayak in the salt marsh part of the watershed and duke the stripers midsummer.

My understanding is that it would be a difficult wade, due to the marshy nature of the surrounding area.
