View Full Version : Need help in Chatham
Going to Chatham for a wedding June 20. I've been fly fishing for about 30 years, but never fished salt water in my life. Since I don't have a clue what I am doing and I only have one day to fish, I thought I would use a guide. Any recommendations?
Also, my salmon/steelhead rod is a Loomis GLX 8 wt -- is that enough rod for stripers? The reel is a Baur M3, which I think is designed for salt water. Finally, floating or sinking line?
Thanks for any help you can give. Anyone needs help in Idaho, I would love to return the favor.
I sent you an email with a bunch of info
A group from RT will be out there Saturday the 18th. If you're around and can get out let us know.

Rob,
Shoot me an email wsith your questions.
Tossing Plugs at night around South Beach, Pleasant Bay, and Nauset Inlet is great that time of year.

We can share a guide if you're interested. Saves us both a ton of money. Let me know. Thanks for the info Ray. Trying to hook up with Randy for a trip.
