Jamaica Bay is HOT!!!!!

I went out today(Thurs) on the kayak with Dan who was using my other kayak. It was pretty windy out there but the fishing was fantastic. I caught over 35+stripers 3 of them were keepers up to 33inches, Dan caught about the same amount. We also caught some really nice size weakfish up to 32inches. Dan caught the biggest at 32inches and 11lbs. The bad news we also caught only a few 3lb bluefish which means they will be in force stealing flies in another week. Here's a few pics of todays trip:

Sorry I was soooooooo tired from catching fish and paddling the kayak in a stiff wind yesterday that I forgot to mention 1 very important thing. The 2 Weakfish that were kept were deeply gut hooked and bleeding when we got them to the kayak. They would've died if we had released them. Otherwise all of the stripers and the other weakfish were released safely.

First off excellent fish, those weakies are rare these days especially that size. No need to apologize those fish are maybe the best eating of all the fish we have available to us and you caught them legally. Man I wish I lived closer to J-Bay as you guy's have some seriously good fishing down there.
