Fished the mouth of the Peconic River this morning and found blues from 6-10 lbs. What's interesting about this time of the year here is the blues are easy to find in flat water - they seem to hold right at the surface and you can basically look for tails sticking out of the water. Conditions were perfect for wading a flat and was able to entice a 26" bass into eating a gold Crease fly. If you have a kayak, this place couldn't be more perfect and I easily paddled over and spooked 50+ fish.
