You may have seen this in the Star Ledger. I caught a doormat fluke in the surf at Sandy Hook on Sunday. Attched is a pic taken at T&T Bait and Tackle on route 36.

There was another flyfisherman on the beach who took a couple of pics, but I didn't his name or any info from him. Frankly, I was a little stunned at the catch. If anyone knows this person, I would really like to get a copy of those pics. Thanks.

Fish took a chart&white clouser. 20lb flouro tippet.

Holy crap Steve. That is a truly amazing catch -- especially on the fly. Have you looked into whether that is a world record for the flyrod???

That doesn't just pass the record, it blows it away. Hope you kept the tippet and can get it certified.
