hope this blow dosen't muck it all up, as it is as good as it gets. kinda hard to get them to eat a fly, but posted some photos of the ones that did. you should see the ones eating the live bunker!!! I even got a chance to throw the fly myself (at my clients behest) most generous man on earth!!!

How has J Bay been that last few days? Must still be some big fish with the cold water?

sounds like a plug, but its true. I am leaving JBy on weds as I am booked for June in Gardiners and am slightly regretting it as this fishing is as good as it gets. today I had Peter Morse from Austraillia and his 2 buds. we had BIG fish rolling on the surface for hours. Ended up with 7 fish over 15 pounds and the biggest 23. Peter is the main Sage guy down under and is a prolific writer and photog. quite the fisherman as well. he is finishing a book about a 7 wt sage rod that he has used in a year to get 107 different species on!!!!! Striped Bass was the 107th (no weakfish, Damn!!) Unfortunately he has the pics of the big fish but here is one I was able to get of him and James. both above 15 pounds (barely) sure hope tomorrow is the same. I only have Tuesday the 7th open and then it is on the the Flats and the southside of Montauk for the summer as I will have both boats out there this year and Bryan will have his in Jamaica Bay as it looks like this is going to hold up for another few weeks atleast. see you soon
HERE IS ONE FROM TODAY_SATURDAY (picture 2)

I guess the real question is since when are there tankers running through JBay?
If I heard the story right the fish were out between the Channels on Saturday and gone today.

Great shot of the 2. Those Bass are beautiful with the dark olive backs, and tinge of purple in the white on the sides.
Very nice.

Brendan, do you really think you can push the new boat with a 140hp 4 stroke? Jan 1, 2003

Yesterday wasn't quite as good, but they were in the back pretty thick, and noone around, which sure was nicer than Breezy

I stand corrected as I guess I did ask that question. I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone 2 years ago though.
Hope to be out tomorrow in search of the bass...............
