Fuel/water separator?

Johnson outboard.....fuel water separator "stuck".
Normal or reverse threads?

Normal threads--right to tight, left to loose. Try an old fashion oil filter wrench.

In the event that you still can't get the thing un-stuck, just replace the unit entirely... Remember to use a bit of grease on the threads when assembling - new or used. I won't run an engine without one.

Go get a can of pb blast, this stuff works 50 times better than WD, and then put a strap wrench on the filter guaranteed to come off.
