Got out twice over the long weekend. Did 45 mins of wading east of Acabonac harbor on Sunday midday...saw just a few...my Dad got one about 23". Then yesterday (Monday), Levison, my Dad and I put the flats boat in and poled various flats in the Peconics for a couple hours...had several aggressive follows and last-minute refulsals/spooks, then lost one, then switched flies and got one (22" give/take), then literally pulled the fly out of the mouth of a nice fish right as he was inhaling. On first few flats, saw surprisingly few fish...a few singles here and there on each flat...then on last flat we hit, it was pretty loaded, including some 30+" fish.

Unfortunately for me, with kid #2 due in a couple weeks, that's it for my flats season :-( ... was great to get outr for at least one day.

Come wading at night with me, I would be happy to explore some spots. I have 3 kids, and I go out after they are all tucked in....

you can fish either side of accabonac harbor . . . the end of gerard drive or at louse point. if looking for spots to wade, why don't you also try lazy point at the entrance to napeague harbor.
