Overcast conditions, 50 degree air temp and fog. Found a steady pick from 5:30 pm up until the 6:58pm high, schoolies to 22", snacking on 6" storm shad. Drifting chunks, herring and mackeral, wasn't making it, switched over to the artificial and it was like turning on a light switch. Switched from a 10 foot Eliminator, Penn 7500 and 30lb. braid to a 7ft. light tackle rig when I saw what I was dealing with. First fish after change was big and ended up breaking me off on the rocks. Then back to the schoolies. Most fun I've had in a while. Had to go home to get the kiddies in bed or I might still be pulling them in.
