Fished the morning in the bay, bass to 25ins in sluiceway. moved to montauk and had bass to 12lbs short of ditch plains.after the incoming started to run there were bass all over the elbow on the surface, popping plugs and bobs bangers produced bass to 19lbs with many others all over 12lbs, a few blues at 5-6lbs added to the fun.

Fish averaging that size on topwater stuff sounds like a dream come true.

I was also lucky enough to have a go at the bass yesterday afternoon once the incoming started off the lighthouse. Up to 14lbs on top water with a few other smaller ones. Then the blues moved in THICK and couldnt find the bass any longer as the birds also dispersed.
Lots of fun to watch you top-water (knucklehead) get engulfed in the calm water!!!

look forward to it matt.caught the beginning of the incoming today with some friends,4.00 before it really started to run.Bass on the surface, not blitzing, just rising, under herring gulls on squid and bunker.Plenty of fish to 15lbs,had one which took 150yrds of backing immediately in one run before breaking off,it felt very heavy.
