Fishing RI From Kayak

I plan to fish RI tonight from a kayak for the first time. I'll be close to Providence and I was hoping someone could reccomend some spots as well as some techniques that have been producing.

If you can get over to the Barrington Beach area, I would highly recommend it. When the bite is on, it doesn't matter what you throw at them. When the bite gets tough, think shrimp. Over the weekend was spectacular.

If you can't get to Barrington, there are fish all over the Providence River as well.
