Rocks Village Bridge, West Newbury, MA
Between two of us, we caught three shad (probably 2 lbs) and 1 striper (probably 12 inches). Red/White shad darts.
Saw quite few other people catching shad, and 1 other catch a striper. Figure the stripers must be holdovers.
Nobody's catching em on the cape yet, they sure shouldn't be up here by now.
The shad run seems to be well under way to provide some excitement till the stripers get here.
