Hey There,
Well, I got a few days vacation and usually I've got a canoe to get around in but not this week. So, I was wondering if anyone could make a recommendation for some good spots to catch largemouth from shore. I'm thinking within, say, 25 miles of Canton MA. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Jamaca Pond in J.P. Houghtons pond in Milton. Watch your back at both. They are also good for trout. Billings pond Sharon, Bullavar pd. Canton, Norton Res. Norton. Could give a lot more if you could get on the water. Good luck. --127-3-

Don't forget Ponkapaug Pond in the reservation...heck, it might even be in Canton. Decent shore fishing and wadeable in lots of spots. Definitely bass in there.
Wade fishing the Charles in South Natick is always fun for me...have caught bass and calico bass in addition to the many sunfish and bluegills. If you go under the water, there are perch and pickerel to catch, too.
It is a great Bass pond. I haven't fished it for a few years but as i remember it, there is not much shore fishing space. You can fish at the launch area and to the left about 50 yds. with waders.
The sudbury res...nuff said. solitude, big fish. Think plastics, bro...
I could never find the Sudbury Res.

Pretty huge reservior, don't know how you could miss it driving through the east side of Marlborough.
Best fishing is way off the beaten path. Head into the woods and explore. My best ever largemouth came out of there, just over 8 lbs.
