Saturday the Mashpee run was dead. Saw two fish. One guy claimed he had netted them but ended up releasing them/ along comes someone else, he nets 2 fish sees nothing else and leaves.
rt 149 marston mills run was active on sunday. (closed to taking of herring) maybe this run will revive one day. A good number of fish were charging up the ladder (plus it was cheap entertainment for the wife)

I was there to the left of the river to prince cove.
Was that you ahead of me looking like you had lost something in the water?
We did not see them were we were and scooted over to the channel to Cotuit Bay. We did not notice them.

We hadn't lost anything. We were following the pogie schools around trying to snag a few. When we first saw them breaking the surface we thought they were herring, or possibly schoolies. They were enormous pogies and there were literally tens of thousands of them stacked up in there.

Oh well it was just as well, I did not have my tackle box onboard and none of what I was carrying would have been good for snagging anything.
