Fished Herring River on Sat morning. Drifted the usual holes all along the south river sections and then worked the area by the mouth...with no luck. Water temp was 49.5 at the mouth, and a constant 50.8 in the river. Went along the beach to the mouth of Allens Harbor and then to Wychmere Harbor. Cold water all along that stretch, and no fish. Some signs of life, including a few terns, and plenty of bait withiin the harbors and the river.
