Fished Thursday 04/27 and Saturday 04/29. Thursday I fished the Charlestown breachway with out any luck. Moved to the beach and tried chunking some fresh herring and in less than 5 minutes I hooked up. Ended up catching four fish around 25-27 inches. All were loaded with sea lice. Saturday morning I fished the mouth of the narrow river without any luck. Moved to the west wall at low tide to try chunking herring again and again there was lots of action. I landed five fish all around the same size as thursday. The hits were nonstop for at least two hours but I think alot of the action was from small schoolies too small to fit a big chunk in their mouths. The fish weren't very big but it was a good sign to see fish with lice on them. All the fish were extreemly fat so they are feeding well.

Thanks for that report! Hopefully we'll start seeing some larger fish heading up into the Cape this coming weekend.

>>but it was a good sign to see fish with lice on them.

could you explain this statement? what does the presence
of lice indicate? are they parasitic? should any fish
with lice not be eaten?

thanks for the info?
