First North Shore bluefin in my boat (7/29), caught on a sage RPLX # 12.
I bought a new 14 weight at First Light Anglers today (they have four or five rods left in stock), the 12 weight was a tad light.

That looks to be close to 100 lbs. Did you weight it ? I have been getting into two different classes of fish, the larger are around 65-115 lbs. and the other are 20-30 lbs. I have to say that the larger are cool, but far fewer are coming into the boat. I have been having fun with my clients on the 12 weight and the 20-30 lb. fish. We landed one fish last week that was around 90 lbs. on the 14 weight and it was a 1 hour battle. The smaller fish have been into the boat in 20 minutes and several have been released alive...

Joe I did not weight the fish but the fish was 55 inches long.
My client (68 years old) had the fish on for over 3 hrs.
Back at the dock the drag measured 10.5 pounds off the reel, by the way we were using 25 lb tippet because of the calm and clear conditions.
Yesterday afternoon we found one group of smaller fish between 15 and 20 pounds but most of the fish are 40 pounds and up.
