Tonga anyone ?

Anyone have any info thy'd like to share on inshore fishing in Tonga ? I know there's a good offshore big game fishery but I've seen references to bonefishing & trevally, anyone ?

Hi there,
I fished in Vavau which is part of the Tongan islands.
The fishing has the potential to be incredible, dogtooth tuna, wahoo, sailfish, marlin, yellowfin tuna as well as a host of smaller species.
The Islands of Vavau have suffered a little from overfishing of the inshore reefs. You need to get out of the popular areas for better fishing.
None of the charter operators in Vavau were fly savy when I was there, they are keen trollers!!
If you let them know what you want then they will take you to the fish, they were all wonderful people and the Islands were breathtaking.
