Anyone fish this area? Gotta go down for business for a Fri. overnight. Looking for a place to tent-camp and fish. Help soon please if you're out there.

Give Stratford Bait & Tackle a call at (203) 377-8091. They will give you a current report on the area, and a few places to fish. There is access to the mouth of the Housatonic River, a wadable area where Spring Stripers show.

Try Sherwood Island State Park. It's just north of Westport. They may have camping permits. The access otherwise is very limited in the Westport area. Compo beach is where I usually go, Penfield reef in Fairfield (also North of Westport) is another good spot.
