I want to take out the old lady to catch her first striper this weekend. Would appreciate some input on most likely success spots..
thanks,

Success rate would be much higher at Poppy

If using a boat.. North bay and Cotuit will be good bets as well.

Poppy had some bass this AM....4 fell for my bucktail jig, although mung was horrific; the jig was clean for perhaps 1/4 the retrieve. You can hike to the end of the spit. I did not see a small handful of boats catch anything as the current and 20-25 Kt SW breeze made it tough manuevering near the bar...

Forget the Merrimac ....for Stripers anyhow.

Couldn't have been this year! I've been out to Joppa three times this week and caught nothing... maybe I lack the necessary skills???
