Shelter Island Stripers

I'm going out to Shelter Island this weekend (may 5-7). Has anyone been fishing there yet this Spring? Anything to report? I am expecting good action based on what I have read about the Western North Shore. If anyone knows Shelter Island well, can you recommend some good spots and tactics? I'll be wading. What about flies? Any comments would be appreciated.

I fish Peconic Bay west of Shelter Island and all of the action as been schoolie bass.
On Shelter I would concentrate on the creek mouths at Dering Harbor and around Westneck.
