So, I suddenly find myself with a bunch more fishing time. Any thoughts (as crazy as it sounds) as to my chances for sucess in the rain at the ditch. Not normally one who looks to get drenched, but given that the next 3 days look torrential, I figured I might give it a shot.

The rain in my opinion wouldn't have much effect positive or negative unless it was also blowing hard and affecting your ability to maintain lure contact. That sounds like what's going to happen Wednesday, which is why I'm probably going to try tonight instead. I expect to get wet or at least moist. I was down last night, real slow tide, not many fish showing or caught. The bait, however, is at powderkeg levels and I gather from the daytime people that the amount of breaking fish out there has bordered on the incredible. For us nocturnal types however, it's been less consistent lately at the Ditch. In general, the smaller baits have been taking the bulk of the fish at night lately.
