watch hill

anyone had any luck fishing down behind watch hill in the morning yet. Was thinking of heading down there for first light.

The ocean side of Naptree has had fish out on the shoal and right off the fort. The shoal has had the better fish if you have boat. Just east of the shoal there are 2 lumps that come up to within 5ft of the surf and the fish have been circling between them at fist light an the drop tide. Shuts off as the sun gets up. Haven't seen much except terns working bait on the inside. The light house also hasn't been giving up anything for me lately. If you can get to WH Reef, it's been on & off. Small bass one day, blues the next. Plenty of bait just not many dancers.

Was at WH (ocean side) w/ family swimming at dinner time. Massive bluefish blitz moved in. Fun to watch. Only one guy surf casting.
