Ran out at daybreak and was treated to feeding bass near spectacle and President Roads. Landed fish on very small red/white popper and green streamers. All bass around 25" that were very aggressive.
Great way to start the day. Back at desk by 9AM.

I wonder if the fish were getting their last "meals" before the bad weather . . .

Looking out the window, I'm happy I got off the water. Front just move through downtown Boston - pretty nasty.
I was FAC and sunny this AM.

Maybe that had something to do with it...for what it's worth from 7:30-8:30 it went off and got significantly better where I was, but might have been reduction in boat traffic too. You didn't like the War of the Worlds blackness that just went overhead?

Where you on the water when the front came through?
I was looking for yaks this AM and did not see any.

I could see the front line over towards the city all dark. I got off the water around 8:45am. Things really got dark when I got to work.
I stayed a bit too long and got absolutely drenched just before 10:00 - plus a sprint to the barn at the first lightning. Lots of fish though. Mostly on a 2" crease fly. One of the blues also puked up a bunch of 1/2" shrimp.

Redux...this evening on the way home I found literally acres of bass on the surface. Almost a fish every cast, and I found myself trying to get the little guys off too quickly so I could look for biggies. All cookie cutter 22" - 24", but, like the girls you always remember, eager to take anything...once. I was soaked to the bone by the time I got off the water...and I'm afraid this striper thumb will never heal. --124-3
