Ok, so I dont leave till next Saturday, but, what the hey...packed and ready with the exception of some double dog secret experimental flies still being tied......but can ya blame me ? While there I plan on exploring the possibilities of putting together a DIY'er/guide portfolio for fellow members.
Speaking with guides, checking out places to stay and so on. Also, there may be an outfitter interested in my research for putting together hard core to 1st class trips.....(but only if he becomes a sponser for R-T, of course). Looking forward to seeing some old friends and hitting Cherokee Sound and the famous Marls......Crayfish are in season so I will be forced to consume massive quantities with a few dozen Kaliks...full report upon return with embelishments, fibs and white lies if necessary........
ps Frank.....the offer remains open if you hit abaco 8-18 Oct....staying in TC..

Mark- I'll be in Grand Bahama next weekend, fishing half days Friday and Sunday and full day Saturday. What do you say to a gentlemans "One Fly" on Saturday? Has to be one of your own creations. Most fish on the "One Fly" is crowned King Kalik. I'll have a slight handicap (beside my casting abilty  ) as I'll be fishing with another guy, but I may ask to wade a little by myself. I doubt I'll be able to post while I'm there, but I'll be back on Monday (I hope you're going for the week).
Good luck, hope your mission is sucessful, and don't have too much fun.
Frank, my offer still stands too, if you want to come to GBI, but I think you're in the Great White North going after the hallowed muskilunge.

Mark ...thank you for the kind offer....most appreciated..

I will be going on a recon trip to St.Maarten to check out the DIY fishing there...I go on the 19th so I cannot make the Abacos...but we WILL hook up on a trip one of these days!

Several years back I had some luck on SXM and I am trying to find current info.
Not having much luck in the info department so anyone that knows anything please share ... thanks.

I am looking for some consistent fishing spots in the islands so that I can take some winter trips to get out of the coming cold.....

I hope both of you have great luck in the Bahamas....give a report when you get back....
