Tried the assonet neck (Taunton river)for the first time this season.
First time this season something striked a popper. I love that sound and love fishing with poppers.
I caught 3 small ones about 13 to 14" on a popper. Had a few others miss the plug. Had a couple of quick tugs using a small mambo minnow. Most likely small fish.
