I have a 2090 that I bought last spring. Used it for the year in boston harbor, but don't have the experience to indicate how the harbor up to Marblehead compares with the bay. Never scared myself too much. One to two foot chop, don't even slow down. Three foot chop sounds a little big for me, but haven't carried a yardstick with me too often.

Strongly recommend the boat. Buy it and have fun.

Mine has a 90 Johnson - 13.75 x 15 prop - indicates about 32 MPH at 5200 RPM (at least when clean in spring). Consider a four stroke if you got the bucks. I would like to try that new Yamaha 100 four stroke.

Normally run at 4000 RPM, giving about 24 - 27 MPH depending on chop and wind.

One trip from Deer Island toward Nahant, was in five or six foot seas. Land kept coming into and going out of sight. Did not feel unsafe, but was making little progress and got bored with max 10 or 15 mph. Key - felt plenty safe.
