Abel reel question

I'm about to replace the foot on my Abel Super 8, but I'm not sure if I should use anything like grease or blue Loctite on the screws when putting it on. I took the old foot off last night, and it didn't look like they used anything on the screws when they assembled it at the factory, but that was 5 years ago.

I know the screws are aluminum, and of course, so is the reel. I'm just wondering if you guys have used grease or blue Loctite in the past.

I just talked to the guys at Abel. They recommended not applying anything to the screws before installing the foot.
