Ok - before I start this report I must confess that Im a full time fly guide here in Noosa, Queensland, Australia.
The inshore fly fishings been very good here over the past couple of months. The waters warming up (curently around 25 Celsius) and there is a healthy supply of bait in the waters that I frequent.
We've been getting into alot of tuna, Macks (kawa-kawa), Longtails (similar to Northern Blues only smaller) Bonito (Watsons leaping and very small- 1-2 kg- but heaps of fun on light gear) as well as Spotty mackeral and School mackeral.
The Longtail tuna have been in great numbers - one angler landed 21 of these in a day recently . The fish were 10 - 18 pounds - after number 11 on fly he couldnt wind the reel any longer, and picked up a spin rod  .
We are tuna mad over here...cant get enough of them. Its coming up to our summer season and most of the local SWF'ers will be totally locked into tuna mode for the next 4 or 5 months !!
Here are a couple of recent captures (the first ones Brian Hastings from California !!)
regards Nat :)
