Sunday the 7th: ArtP and myself caught many schoolies in the morning fog mostly in the narrows.Biggest was 21" art caught on a fly-rod. Saw a few reel-timers in North Bay and swapped some info. A.Albino said that 2 keepers were caught saturday in the bay but fishing was slow for he and Rocky uptill then. Afternoon the sun broke out. The bite fell off but we managed to find a few blitzes of small fish here and there. Art snagged a an adult pogie and saw many other smaller pogies slapping the water.
I'm off to Grand Lake Stream on Wens.Talk to you when I get back.---Roland

Roland and Art - Good seeing you guys again. A few hours later me and Rockster found them off Wianno/Dowses - huge blitz. First real surface action of the year. Smallest around 22" - and a few "just" keepers around 30". My 6wt was taken to the limit! 30 or so fish for the two of us in about 45 minutes. Left and it was still happening. Time to start leaving the rivers.....

Fished the flats off Cotuit on Saturday, saw some 30+" fish flying across the flats, took a few on the fly around 18". Did much better inside Poppy bay, with largest at 22". Met Steve Moore. Good to meet you Steve. Next weekend it will be a cod/haddock trip with a friend out of Marblehead. Next time on the Cape will be the 20th. By that time I expect we will be waist deep in keepers and blues! Tight lines. Ed

Adam- I don't remember seeing your boat on the south shore. Art and I do a lot of fishing out of Cohasset and Hingham. I'll look for you guys out there in a couple of weeks when things get hot.----Roland

Hey Adam....

when you win the lottery tonight, why not buy a second
boat (or maybe 2 or 3 hundred boats) and then strategically place them so you're never more than 10 minutes away from one...

and while you're at it, buy rockster a lifetime supply of
advil...

:);

Ya know your not far off - If I did win I probably would keep 100 or so boats 10 minutes away! :-)

As far as Rocky goes - I'll always give him a headache :)
