Not sure of their schedule, but I believe Charles River Canoe & Kayak sells used boats at the end of each season...you might try giving them a call.

Do a Google for "rental kayaks Massachusetts". Most rental outfits offload a good chunk of their fleet in the Fall. The Goose and CRCK were great places to start. I think REI rents too.

Thanks,

Sorry I posted on this site and not yak's. Hit the buttons too fast without paying attention.

I tried Goose, only sea kayaks used. I'll give the others a call.

I've got two 14' wilderness systems kayaks that I'd be willing to sell. I bought them a couple of years ago and hardly ever used them. I think I paid around $1,000 for each of them. The only issue is they have a smaller cockpit. They won't work well for a larger person.

Let me know if you're interested. I live in South Dartmouth.

You migh want to wait and look in the spring too. Rental places like the goose will dump old inventory to make room for new in the early spring, April or so. There are also shows in the late winter early spring where people sell on consignment. You can find great deals there to.

EMS in Millbury, MA had a sign in there front window last night. They are dumping a lot of there rentals at a discount price.

You might want to check an EMS that is closer to you to see if they are doing the same.

The above places are usually good -- I've used EMS and REI for gear, and Charles River and NE Small Craft for yaks. Here a couple others, although I cannot vouch - one of them is closer to you, the other requires a haul to Portsmouth area (but it's tax free then, right? Plus, you'll save money at the package store, so it's like you're making money).
