Pfluger Reel

Looking for info on a Pluger Interocean. Does not have a model #. Only info on the case is: Pfluger Interocean, Free Spool, Surf Casting. Trade Mark has a dog between words. Alsohas "Douglas Pat. June 16,1908".
Reel does not have a drag, just a leather flap on top.

That's an early Pflugger surf reel. The leather thingy is the drag, just press down with thumb when casting. It's a pretty collectible reel. I have one in my Pflueger collection. Check out Ebay or go online to google and type in "Pflueger reels". You may get some idea of the value. I would guess between $50 and #100, depending entirely on condition.

Early surf casting rods usually had a tip guide and single back-to-back guides. Any decal on the rod or name? Usually just ahead of the fore grip or on the reel seat.
