Hi,
I'll be down in Estero next week Monday 11/7 to Monday 11/14, and I was looking for a little advice. I'll be mainly shore fishing and the only areas I really know are in the Bonito Beach area. I don't normally fish down there this time of year, so should I start focusing on the passes (like dog beach), beach fronts, or in Estero Bay. I'll mainly be throwing a fly rod with the normal assortment of Clousers and other usual flies in the 2-2/0 size. I'll have my spinning rod with me for the beach fronts, though I think it may be starting to get cool for spanish macks and small snook. I'll take all the free advice I can get.
I may also spend a few hours canoing on the estero river w/ an ultra light rod and 6lb test looking for those baby (5-10lb) tarpon. Would you guys use shrimp or small swimming plugs. Typically where I fish, I don't have much room to backcast.
Thanks in advance and I'll post when I return. If anyone wants to wade fish, I'm open to fishing w/ someone new.
Matt
