5/8 Bass River Report

This past weekend(5/5/-5/7) our linesided friends showed in strong numbers. Offshore all the way up through the river.

Well they weren't around at midday, from shore anyway, on Sunday. Tried Highbank and the mouth. Probably was best at day break.

But other south side spots were hot as well at dawn and dusk.

Bill,

I am new to saltwater fly-fishing but not to stripers. I was hoping you could suggest any wadable location on the Bass River. Not asking for any secret spots just some general info. My in-laws recently moved to Yarmouth and I have tried Seagull inlet, boat ramp and Highbank but found them loaded with bait fisherman. Are their any good locations to park and wade?
