Friday afternoon I experienced a spectacular show of oversized snook on one of my favorite beaches. The pelicans read like Indian smoke signals to the mayhem that was taking place below the surface. The crystalline water seemed to boil as dozens snook to 40#+ attacked the schools of pilchards and sardines. As the sun sank below the horizon all I had to show for my efforts was a Long A Bomber with the tail hook torn out, a 60# leader that was frayed beyond additional usage, and oh yeah a 28# lineside. SWEET!

Maybe the next blitz will produce that new world recorld I was talking about.

Richard, I wish I was there now. Can't wait to be back. I totally enjoy reading your posts. I can almost feel the bend in the rod and the sound of the drag screaming. Peace Don

Well guiding has been keeping me pretty busy the past few months so I don't have much time to get behind the computer other than to take reservations and respond to e-mails.

Let me try and keep this short.

Short of the breaks in fishing because of incliment weather, hurricanes and the likes, the fishing has been great this year.

I would say better that the past three or four years.

All my clients are amazed at our fishery here. With few exceptions they claim to catch the largest snook of there lives.

If tarpon are you're thing well that is another story all together.

Tyt lynz everyone.
