The wind was still up today. About 15 from the NE. Water temp on the reef was 78 with 3-5 foot seas.
Had a group from Mass and NH today. Yellowtail, Mutton and Mangrove Snapper were biting OK but the Grouper were not really turned on. Managed some decent Yellowtail, 2 Black Grouper, a Nassau Grouper and a sweet Mutton Snapper. Too many cut offs to count. Grouper fishing is tough when you are not used to it. It takes some time to learn to feel the bite and crank them away from the bottom before they hole you up.
Anyway below is a pic of Jen Wade from Rochester, New Hampshire. She landed this sweet Mutton Snapper on 12 pound spin gear and a strip of squid meant for yellowtail..
