As I left Liberty State Park this morning 11/18/05, just as it started to get light. I had to question my sanity. (#$119) Freezing out, ice all over boat, wind howling about 25 knots. As I got closer to Coney Island winds got worse, waves smacking my frozen face. Well glad I didn't wimp out! Caught loads of stripers, largest 38". This was heavy metal fishing in this wind. LARGE jigs to get down to fish. No place for those "fairy wands" you guys are so fond of! ( justkidding with you guys-calm down :brow ) > Finally the winds subsided and I was able to work fish all afternoon, all over Rairitan Bay. Catching large Blues to 34" and lots of nice bass. I figure a total of 60 fish for the day. Tried to hose the boat when I got back and all frooze up! Tight lines to all!
